Setup guide / ChatGPTOffscreen setup
in ChatGPT.
Open now in ChatGPT and Claude. Say "Offscreen, make me a yard sign."

In ChatGPT, open your profile menu, then Settings, then Plugins, and choose Browse directory. Use your own ChatGPT account.
02Add Offscreen.
Choose Add, then Add custom MCP server. Fill in:
- Name: Offscreen
- Connection: Server URL,
https://getoffscreen.com/mcp - Authentication: OAuth
Tick I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin. Once Offscreen is listed in the ChatGPT directory, you will find it under Browse directory instead.
03Sign in to Offscreen.
ChatGPT opens the Offscreen sign-in page. Choose Continue with Google, or type your email and we email you a code. You sign in once.
04Check it is connected.
Back in ChatGPT, Offscreen shows in your plugins. Try in chat opens a new chat with Offscreen selected.
05Start a chat with Offscreen.
In a new chat, pick Offscreen from the plus menu, so it shows in the message box.
06Say the phrase.

Offscreen, make me a yard sign. Show me the Offscreen catalog. Then make an 18 by 24 inch yard sign for my business and show me a few designs and the price for 10. Do not start an order. Design with the Offscreen tools: get_design_guide, check_design, create_proof. Do not generate a picture of the sign; the proof is the design.
07Pick a design.
Offscreen shows up to four numbered designs. Say "pick design 2" to see one alone (or press Pick under it where your assistant shows buttons), then ask for changes in plain words, like "make the phone number bigger". Each change comes back as a new proof.
What you should see: a prompt to sign in to Offscreen, followed by the catalog. Add your business details to see up to four yard sign designs to choose from, then your proof and a price estimate in the chat. This starter prompt does not place an order. When you are ready, approve your design and follow the checkout link to review the total, including shipping and tax, before you pay.
After an Offscreen update.
Both ChatGPT and Claude keep a copy of Offscreen's tool list from the day you connected. When we tell you the tools changed, refresh that copy or your assistant will say a feature does not exist.
In ChatGPT: Settings, Plugins, Offscreen, Manage app, then Refresh tools.
Something not connecting?
I cannot find an Offscreen listing.
Directory approval is pending. Add Offscreen with the connector address https://getoffscreen.com/mcp.
ChatGPT replies without using Offscreen.
Check that the connection is selected in your account. Use the starter prompt above. If setup is incomplete, email hello@GetOffscreen.com.
The connection gives an error.
Confirm that you used the connector address https://getoffscreen.com/mcp and your own account. Email hello@GetOffscreen.com with the error message. Do not send passwords or keys.
